File Catalogue Management — viewing your photos & documents via the WEB

Easy file management via the WEB:

 Just provide the path to your file folder in the variable Application("PathFileStorage") in the PayDox\Global.asa file
For example: Application("PathFileStorage")="C:\MyFiles\" (The default value is "PayDox\FileStorage\")
And your file folder will be accessible via the WEB by PayDox

 Click any folder or file name in PayDox Catalogue then click the button «Properties» to add or to modify folder / file descriptions

 Only Admin or Owner users can modify folder / file properties

How to build PayDox Catalogue into your web-site

To build into your web-site the possibility to show a lot of photos & documents located on your computer just install PayDox on your computer & place on your web-page a simple HTML-text:

How to show in your PayDox installation file folders located on other computers connected via LAN (Local Area Network)

Just provide the LAN path to any folder in the text file having extension .map. Also provide Windows user name & password and place this file to any folder from which you want to provide access to this LAN-located folder

Example:Text file PayDox\FileStorage\Samples1.map:
PATH=\\WWW\Samples1
USER=testuser
PASSWORD=testpass

Windows user name & password also provided in this text file to let PayDox automatically connect this folder as a system drive
Please keep copies of files having extension .map because PayDox encrypts Windows user names & passwords in such files
This folder has to be shared as LAN-drive in Windows

Any number of LAN-located folders can be virtually joined and viewed in a single PayDox web-page You can create large geographically distributed catalogues of documents & photos located on a number of computers accessible via LAN — and viewed in a single PayDox web-page


How to show in your PayDox installation file folders located on other computers connected via the WEB (HTTP)

Just provide the web-link to other PayDox installation in the text file having extension .url

Example:Text file PayDox\FileStorage\Samples.map:
URL=http://www.xxxxx.com - for access via domain name or
URL=http://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX - for access via IP-address
and place this file to any folder from which you want to provide access to this web-located folder

It may be Internet or corporate intranet. PayDox has to be installed on this computer also to provide access to this remote folder

Any number of web-located folders can be virtually joined and viewed in a single PayDox web-page You can create large geographically distributed catalogues of documents & photos located on a number of computers accessible via the WEB and viewed in a single PayDox web-page

How to view files by categories

Click the button «Categories» to view files separated by categories. Click the button «Catalogue» to return back to Catalogue

How to show your HTML-code in the PayDox Catalogue web-page

Just place any file(s) having extension .HTML or .HTM to any PayDox Catalogue folder. Such files will be shown on the PayDox Catalogue web-page directly

Usung PayDox Catalogue you can develop your web-site content without any programming — just create hierarchical menu by folder names and place any documents, photos and HTML web-pages into folders
